Articles & Publications

Throughout my dad’s legendary career, Keith has written many technical documents featuring his writing skill, knowledge of the military history and aviation art which can be found on this page.  A few of these publications are from friends and family but worth sharing so I hope everyone enjoys these documents.  I’ll keep digging and add more stories as I uncover them.  If anyone had a story or comments about my dad or how his artwork has impacted your life please don’t hesitate to reach out as this is our only venue I have to share my dad’s amazing legacy and life story with everyone.

A special shout out to Gary and Tina Nix for allowing us to share Tina's grandpa, Sgt. James A Earon's  story.  This document follows her grandfather's time as a belly turret gunner on B-17 missions deep into Germany territory ending on 15 August 1944.  While returning from target his B-17 was shot down. Bad Penny is seen in my dad's painting "A Test of Courage", you can see the second FW-190 rolling into position to engage Bad Penny, the green B-17 seen in the lower right side of the painting.  This is the same mission featured in Keith's famous 75' X 25' mural "Fortresses Under Fire" painted on the wall at the Smithsonian Institute National Air & Apace Museum in DC.
