The LHX became the Army’s Comanche Helicopter program, which after years of development was cancelled in 2004.
This painting was created for Boeing Sikorsky LHX (light helicopter program) advertising as the manufacturing team competed successfully for the Army’s Comanche Helicopter program. The fast highly maneuverable adverse weather, night, light attack helicopter had low observable stealth characteristics and carried a lethal combination of rapid fire cannon and guided munitions. It is seen reconnoitering an enemy helicopter forward operating location.The LHX became the Army’s Comanche Helicopter program, which after years of development was cancelled in 2004.
