The artist participated in this routine night training mission in the receiver as it maintained contact or pre-contact position while orbiting for nearly two hours on the assigned refueling track. Since 1957, the skills of these Air Force tanker crews have made possible the worldwide operations of the U.S. Air Force. The painting is part of the Air Force Art Collection.
